No response regarding stones in packet of beans

Shops, Products, Services

I was extremely shocked and angry to discover that a 1kg packet of Spar brand sugar beans that I purchased and used on Sunday was contaminated with small stones. I used 2 and a 1/2 cups of these beans to make soup in my pressure cooker and in that small amount there were no less than 5 stones! I haven't actually checked the rest of the packet to see if there are more. I'm just happy that I found these stones before possibly swallowing one or biting into one - I dread to think the kind of damage this could have done to my alimentary tract or my teeth! Unfortunately there was some damage to my pressure cooker pot in that there are now scratches around its bottom from when I stirred the soup and heard the strange sound of something hard grinding against the metal and then began the task of fishing these contaminants out of my soup. I initially thought that there were possibly some old beans that had gone hard and would not cook, imagine my surprise to find actual stones. This is completely unacceptable, it is a serious health risk due to the high possibility of ingestion.
I emailed this to [Email Removed] and also posted it on their website. No response on either side!
