Slamming phone down is very rude

I received a' courtacy call' today about whether or not I receive my Thank you Edgars card. I said yes thanks, I have. Then she wanted to offer me some extra cover or something... I think she asked me if I like wine? Maybe some special offer or something? When I said I won't be taking on anything extra, the phone was slammed down! No 'thank u and good bye' or anything like that. Am I not allowed to say no?
