On Saturday night, I was shopping at Woolworths, Hillcrest. I kindly asked the cashier if I could use my account to pay and use my id doc as proof of my identity as I did not have my card on me. The cashier agreed and processed my groceries. I was then told by the cashier that she would have to call her supervisor which she did and then commenced a huge debate of why I could not pay with my account. The cashier had provided incorrect information to me. Michelle the supervisor tried to educate me which I found a little insulting but got her point. My point is that the cashier provided me with incorrect information. However, to top it off, the attitude of the male manager towards me stinks of sexism. He looked at me as if I was a piece of dirt, he couldn't be bothered with my complaint. His body language was offensive and he walked away whilst I was mid conversation. It is apparent that the staff in that shop do not know their products and do not listen to the customer. And it is now clear that with a manager such as the one I came aross is the cause of lethargy and lack of customer centricity. I was disgusted by the actions of the manager.
