OFF MEAT

We bought our monthly meat at Makro on Sat. 16 March.
Pork Ribs were on special so we stocked up on about 6 0r 7 packs...
3 of the packs that we have opened thus far were off! Is this the reason they were sold for next to nothing?
The "use by date" is 19/03. So they should not have expired as yet.
This is not the first time we have bought meat from Makro and arrived home to find them off.
We have an acc at Makro and spend a lot of money there, but we are quickly losing faith in the quality of the products, especially fresh produce such as meat.
I have no doubt that the balance of the packs are off too... but we have not opened them as yet.
