My advice to customers considering Modafurn as a supplier is if you stay in Cape Town then visit them to check authenticity, then visit them daily to check progress.
If you don't stay in Cape Town then after ordering, ensure you have a holiday planned during the manufacturing period and camp close by and visit modafurn daily to drive progress.
I am still waiting for mine -I requested confirmation of delivery weeks ago and this is still not forthcoming. I ordered goods and paid 50% by end January with 2 weeks delivery promised.
Still no delivery or despatch commitment
Modafurn is now requesting the other 50% payment.
As per invoice 50% final payment is required before delivery. I am comfortable to accept that, but I require the goods to be at my doorstep ready for delivery into my home, to satisfy myself of:
1 That the goods are in fact real
2 That the goods are coming to me
3 That the feel and quality are right
I will not pay on despatch only. The risk is to high for me since I had to work with modafurn daily in past weeks to ensure goods are in fact being manufactured. Seemingly nothing was done for the first 4 weeks after paying 50% deposit
