Nothing they can do - dispose of watch!

I bought my 3 x daughters each a Swatch watch as Christmas watch. Thinking I am bying a good quality watch. Each watch costed R1079. Two weeks after receiving the watches one of my daughters realised her screen is cracked. Couldn't have been a serious knock that caused the cracked glass as she has no idea how it happened. i returned the watch to Bay Jewellers in RIchards Bay where I bought it from. They sent it to Swatch and phoned me yesterday informing me that it is not replaceable. According to them Swatch makes disposable watches and because cracked glass is not covered under warranty they suggest I buy a new watch. My point is since when do you buy a R1000 watch that is not repairable? Why would one buy a disposable watch for a R1000? If I wanted an inferior product that must be thrown away due to a cracked glass then I would have bought an inferior quality product at a much lower price. I will never buy Swatch again! I want to warn others to never buy swatch as they are manufacturing inferior quality selling them at a high price, hiding behind the swatch logo! I am really dissapointed that a company with their reputation cares so little about their customers!
