Today at 13.40pm I was at Southdowns Pick n Pay to get something for lunch. From all their tills only one was open, and halfway through ringing up a customers groceries, she decided to get up and walk off, NO TILLS OPEN. The manager came down the isle, I asked him if they only have one till opened, HE IGNORED ME COMPLETELY.
How can you run a business like Pick n Pay, having only one till open over lunchtime, surely not all the staff were on lunch, because they were all standing in front of the shop, either mopping floors or chatting to their buddies.
We as corporate staff are only allowed one hour lunch, and therefore can not spent 45 minutes in a que to be helped. Pick n pay surely must go back to the drawing board and make a decision if they want to do business or not.
This behaviour of the staff and assistance of pick n pay staff and management is very poor. I do intend to let the whole of Southdowns Estate and Southdowns College know about their attitude and organise a 30 day strike of purchasing any goods at Pick n pay. Then they can sit on their arses the whole day and close their shop at the end of the month.
