Edgars stores do not know how to work out payments

Good day

My husband has an Edgar's account for over ten years, he uses the account and pays his dues every month, Edgars call him at least twice a year with credit increases as he maintains his account well, but Edgars fail to follow thier 12 month payment plan and also fail to bill us the correct amount.
For EG if you have a balance of 9000 you need to pay 900 and when this amount drops so should your instalment, but Edgar's don't actually follow this process and over billed my husband, according to my husbands knowledge you pay 10% of the balance owed over 12 months. this was not the case and even though my husband brought down his balance they carried on billing him over a R1000 a month, he called the call centre plenty times and they contacted him back but still refused to get his account statement correct.
they have now handed this account over to Trans-union as a slow payer even though we have been paying this account, this is unacceptable and I have seek ed legal advise to take Edgards to court and Sue them.
They cannot ruin someones credit record due to their incompetent and rude staff members that do not know how to do their jobs.
