PATHETIC SERVICE - CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH GOODS

I bought an item at Toys 'R Us, Gateway & was told that it could be left at the store & fetched when ready. The receipt was marked 'X' next to the item, to show that I didn't take it with. When I went to fetch the item though, I was told that MY item that I paid for had been sold to someone else. To add insult, the staff starts arguing that nobody wrote "To Collect" on the receipt - at my own job I know the procedures, I do not know the procedures of Toys 'R Us! Then the manager says that I must take something else instead - I don't want 'Something else'! If I did then I would've initially bought 'Something else'! I said that I'm willing to wait for stock but she INSISTED that I take a gift card now & when there's stock she'll let me know as it will affect the stock take. I asked her if I'll get the item at the same sale price & she said that I will but made no note of it where she took my details down nor did she give me anything to stating so. The unprofessionalism of the staff is amazing. I then emailed Toys 'R Us via their website & asked to be contacted regarding this but I received no response! It is disgusting that they treat customers with such disregard. Pathetic service!!
