12/02/2013 I opened an account with Morkels at the Promenade branch with Malanga (Sales person) and with his Credit Manager by the name of Dirkie. The contract was not explained to me properly they just wanted me to sign the contract papers. I came back the next day to cancel the whole deal but the Manager dropped the insurance to Basic Premium and I was a little okay with that and then I questioned the d/o and the Manager told me it was compulsory to have it on my account. On the contract it stated that the 1st d/o will go off on the 26/01/2013 but to my surprise the d/o was deducted on the 24/12/2012. When I phoned to questioned that, I was given the run around and no one wanted to take the responsibility or be accountable for the error, they just blamed the system.
Then I found out I can cancel the d/o, I called again in the beginning of February 2013 to cancel it, I spoke to Faizlan and she told me it has been cancelled. I phoned again on the 24 Feb to confirm and I was assured it has been cancelled. On the 27 Feb when I was checking my bank statement I was so shocked to realise the d/o was run off my account.
