I am appalled at the way I have been treated throughout this difficult period after being re trenched. I have insurance with edcon in case of situations like these. I was asked in Jan to submit my forms and I did on the 31. However I called the call centre to find out why I am receiving threatening sms', the agent then advised me that my claim has been declined as according to the insurance I was not working for longer than 6 months and I was not permanently employed. Bearing in mind I was working for 14 months and was permanent after 3 months. This happened to me before with edgars as this is not the first time that I have been re trenched. I am so upset I have to constantly call accumulating more expensis on phone call charges and I feel I have not been treated fairly and now my credit file has been updated as a slow payer. I want to be compensated for this horrendous experience, I am stressed out because of this situation. No one bothered calling me and finding out by the source what the employment history is. Just lazy insurance consultants that never do their work properly! I just called and was placed on a 5 minute hold.
