Unwillingness to remedy their mistake

I ordered a "HARD COVER" photo book for my anniversary (which is tomorrow) on 14 February. I paid the full amount and awaited their sms to collect the book once it was printed. I asked them to have it ready way before my anniversary. I received a notification on Saturday 23 February that my photo-book was ready for collection. I collected it this morning only to notice that it was a soft cover flimsy book - not what i ordered or paid for. Their response was "oh sorry, we can't help you we will just refund you the difference between the hard and soft covers". I expressed my disappointment and that my anniversary gift was ruined - I now have to give this flimsy cheap-looking soft cover photo book instead of what I ordered and waited for. What gets to me is that they were totally unwilling to help or to find a suitable solution. They simply said that all they can do is refund me the difference. I asked if they could continue with the printing of the hard cover photo book that I paid for and give me the soft cover as a teaser gift for my husband. And they were totally unwilling to bend even a little bit to make one customer return to their store! I am so disappointed!
