Crime at Canal Walk

We recently had a wheel from our vehicle while visiting the Canal Walk shopping centre. The response from CW management was atrocious. They initially sent us a template email response which was completely inappropriate. Instead of focussing on the problem at hand, Vanessa strayed areas that had nothing to do with her private location. They only sent us the security report after a 3rd request. The comments about CCTV, patrols, bicycle guards and undercover guards are that of a deluded person. There is minimal CCTV coverage in the parking areas. The contracted security company indicated they do not have enough coverage in those areas. A recent drive through the entire lower level resulted in a showing of 1 guard. Recent reports from friends and media show that there is a bad crime problem at CW and nothing appears to be done about it. We were referred to CW's insurance co. but predictably, the claim has been denied on these grounds: "we can see no liability attached to our client in this instance". The liability is obvious to see: there is insufficient security coverage! Please take care when visiting CW as your personal safety and belongings may be at risk.
