Trojan: Brand new, out of the box, faulty!

Previously we bought a Trojan Ironman 520 treadmill. This is Trojan's flagship model by the way. It broke after less than 6 months (< 150hours of use). After 20 odd days of calls/emails it still wasn't fixed so we returned it for a refund. This was no easy feat, and we ended up submitting a lengthy written complaint to the regional manager. Only then was it sorted out. To date we have never received any written response to our complaint.

Subsequently we received a call from the Trojan brand manager (also the Massdiscounters sales exec) assuring us of the quality of Trojan products, and that changes are being made to improve the after sales service. We could also contact him directly if we had any problems in the future.

Re-assured we ended up buying another Ironman 520 and had it delivered and setup on 4/2. That evening my wife tried it out and it squeaks like an old mattress. Brand new, out of the box, and faulty!

What are the chances: the same customer, strikes two faulty products, of the same model, from the same Game branch? Chances should be very, very slim for a good quality product. Make your own deductions.

I emailed the lot of them 24hrs ago. No reply yet!
