Truworths negligence and non-follow up

On 21 December 2013 I placed an order for a dress for which I paid in advance at Truworths in Walmer Park (Port Elizabeth) due to the non-availability of a size. I had instructed for the dress to be delivered in Truworths Rosehill Branch (Port Alfred) and person that was assisting me did not see a problem with that. I was advised that the item would be delivered within 14 working days and I would be called to collect at the desired store. The item has not been delivered till today. I have made various visits in Rosehill and the cashiers didn't even bother to call the responsible department and find out the cause of the delay. Last week (23-01-2014) I went to Truworths Greenacres and they tried to communicate with PA Truworths and the dpt responsible, the cashier was sent from pillar to post making numerous calls but still I did not get an answer as to where is the item and why it hasn't been delivered. The lady from Greenacres took my contact details and promised to get back to me but till now I haven't received her call.

To me this is negligence to the consumer and the Sale of Goods Act 1994. Truworths has disappointed me and yet they don't treat consumers with courtesy.
