Appalling service - I want a refund

On the 26th of January 2014 I went to Geen and Richards to purchase a plasma stand. When we got there we were assisted by a very nice lady Keratilwe who informed us that what we looking for was not in stock and that they already placed an order at their warehouse but couldn't give us the date when it will be available because her computer didn't't provide her with the date. I asked her to check if they might have at one of their branches but she couldn't find any. She said we can buy one now and she'd let us know when to pick it up, we paid for it and just after paying then she tells us that they have it at Woodmead but there's a process they have to follow before we can pick it up. Got a call on the 28/01/2014 and was told to go pick it up at Woodmead when I called them and I was told that another client took it. Today she said she has one at Southgate and said I should come get it quick before another client gets it. I had to make arrangements to get the stand and I called her back to confirm but some lady kept putting the phone down. What I fail to understand is why can't we get what we paid for, we being sent from pillar to post and the service is just disgusting.
