Poor quality... no feedback

Hi there

I purchased these Nikes (Pic emailed to Nike) from Total sports in Nov /Dec2013 for my husband and on Tuesday this is what happened? The whole one shox has broken off (see pic)

How can a person pay R1200 for shoes and then they break? What is happening with the quality?
My husband only weres Nike and owns to date 5 pairs of Shox - how can I still believe in the brand?

Why can no one give me feedback?
