"System" Cheat on Discount

After receiving an SMS and an advertising ad of 4 days only 30 Jan - 02 Feb 2014. 30% OFF Adults' LEVIS, Guess & Sissy Boy denims I went to Menlyn Mall Edgars store to get myself 2 LEVIS Jeans. At the Denims also hanged a board that states 30% OFF ALL Guess & Levis Denims. I found two of my sizes, and went to the check out point, I notice that the normal price is R599, and on the till slip only 18.32% went of (R109.70) instead of 30% as advertised. That would give you R179.70. The lady at the till told me she can't do anything about it. I must contact Head Office. I requested to speak to a manager, they called the floor manager, he told me the same and told me to contact the store manager MIKE. Which i did. He took my number and told me that would be rectified within an hour or to he will contact me. My problem is, how many off the public notice this cheat on the discounts? It is easy to say it is a fault on the system, and they will rectify it as soon as somebody bring it to their attention. Not everybody will get refunded automatically by the system that bought items during the special and didn't notice the system cheated them, when the system is corrected?
