RE: Letter of Complaint (Defective Product)
To whom it may concern
I would like to lodge a formal complaint against the service provided by your Somerset Mall Store in Western Cape.
I have been given a gift from a colleague over the Christmas period which was purchased on 6 December 2013 by one of your clients Account Holder number: 6008153300667173. The gift was handed to me as a Christmas gift on 20 December 2013.
The following product was purchased:
Item No. 6001567212039 - Gravity 50ml Deo Watch
I have ever since returned the item to my colleague when I returned from annual leave as the watch kept losing time and needed to be reset continuously, which cause me humiliation when asked for the time. My colleague tried to return the item to your Somerset Mall Store on 18 January 2014 with the purchase slip. She was advised that by the watch department as well as the cologne department that the responsibility of the defect product is not on Edgars as the Coty Watch in the Gravity set is a FREE gift and she didn't pay for it. I have looked at the packaging and there was no indication thereof.
