I am utterly disgusted with the lack of service and communication received by Woolworths in trying to settle my daughters debt of the last 2.5 years!!! She attempted to settle it from overseas and after 6 months gave up since she received no feedback from them re final bill. Several months later she was told it had been handed over to debt collectors. She requested my help as I was in SA. When contacting them her balance owing which should have been around R900 was suddenly R3700. I paid R1800 at a local woolworths in good faith but wanted a breakdown of the last purchase on this account before being prepared to pay more as we felt the amount owing was hugely inflated. I have requested this on numerous occasions with no joy, eventually I was told this information is unavailable once an account is handed over for collection. I do not think this is accurate information as I cannot believe there can be no records of transactions on my daughters account, by law I am sure the supplier needs to keep this information for a certain amount of time. I am now being harassed by the Debt Collectors and want this issue sorted out ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!
