Refund or exchange

I purchased a pair of wedges from Shoe City Woodmead branch on 14.01.2014, i was enjoying my shoes until today when the elastic that connects to the shoe buckle failed and the shoe was ruined. I do not have a receipt anymore because i had bought shoes from Shoe City before and never experienced this problem, i hope they can be able to print the duplicate of the receipt as I used a debit card from Bank of Athens for the purchase on 14.01.2014 at around 17h55 in the evening. I would like to think that a pair of wedges valued at R179.95 is supposed to last more than 12 days and therefore would really appreciate a refund or exchange from Shoe City.
Your quick response to this matter would be highly appreciated.
