Checkers & Checkers Hypers
NOT WEARING GLOVES!!

I visited Checkers in Parkview Pretoria round 12:50 today. The assistant at the frozen fish section, Lebogang was chatting to a male colleague, when I stood looking at them she decided to help me. I asked for a piece of hake to be weighed. She promptly took the fish by hand. Only once I asked her if she wasn't supposed to wear gloves, did she give me a blank stare and with indifference put gloves on. She then proceeded to remove the glove of the hand which she was using to cut the fish to remove the centre bones. Come on Checkers... don' t you train your staff in hygiene? AS I've had back surgery (and may start to shop), I'll rather frequent Food Lover Market next time, the staff there are very helpful and are hygiene conscious.
