Terrible Repairs service EVEN WITH AN EXT WARRANTY

I bought a fridge/freezer (amongst other things) from Hirschs. The sales people are very good at convincing you to buy an extended warranty to 'save you money in the long run'. I bought it for a few of my appliances. Now, when it comes time to deliver on that, the service is unacceptable!
My fridge broke on Sunday night, 3/2/2013. Monday morning, (4/2/2013) at 8:30am (when the store opened) I called to request a technician & report the problem. It took the store over 2 hours to locate my invoice &log it with Head Office () in Durban to send out technician. When I had no feedback, I called the store, got the contact info for and called them only to find out it was too late &their technicians were busy. Only after complaining, did they offer to give me a loan fridge, delivered at 5pm that day. After a couple hours, I realised that the loan fridge too was not working! By now, most of the contents of my fridge was gone bad. On Tuesday, 5/2/2013, 8:30am I called the store again (assistant manager) to report this problem. She was shocked and tried to help. At 3pm, I am still waiting for a technician and/or a new loan. What is the point of the ext warranty if it takes this long!?
