Incorrect advertising and bad attitude from staff

Pick 'n Pay have a special notice posted on their shelves. "Attention all customers. From 17th to 24th of December 2013. All Christmas Decorations will be Less 50%. This excludes christmas lights, trees, crackers and gift wrap. The price on the shelf will be halved at the checkout points."

The cashier did not know about this advertisement. She called a supervisor and she informed me that the prices was already halved, This was not true as it did not reflect on the till slip. I went to collect a notice to show them, By that time the supervisor called a second supervisor and both of them told me that the discount is not on any of the items i bought. They did not unpack the items. Just informed me that this special was only on chrismas tree decorations. That is not what the notice said.

This attitude and wrong advertising is not acceptable. The fact that the staff did not even know about the special is even worse. I paid more than R400 for decorations that should have been just over R200. One get different Christmas decorations. There is a huge difference between christmas decorations and Christmas tree ornaments.
