Edgars not refunding double charges on credit card

On 6 January 2014 I made a purchase using my FNB platinum credit card to the value of R6 246, 85 at Edgars Sandton City. At first the transaction timed out or declined. On the second try the purchase went through. I was however concerned as it showed on my cellphone banking messages from FNB that this transaction did in fact go off on my credit card twice. But according to the staff member at the Edgars cash register, this amount would be reversed within 24 hours, if double charging was the case. The reversal never happened. Even though I've contacted Edgars in various ways since 9 January with the transaction number, cashier code and till/terminal number (I gave their system a few days chance to update and decided to return the purchase completely) I've repeatedly been advised by their credit manager Thembi that they're looking into it, the responsible person is on his way home, there will be an investigation. Now there is no communication from them. Although Thembi has been kind she has been ineffective. More than 2 weeks later I'm paying bank charges on my credit card whilst this phantom amount is still on my credit card and the store manager Navesh remains absent and unavailable
