Failure to comply with the CPA

I purchased a Polo branded jean for my 4year old at Fashion fusion in Stamp ford hill then when I got home I realised that it did not fit him so I decided to keep it safe in order for me to go and change the size after the Christmas holidays. When I returned fron JHB first thing I went to exchange it at Fashion Fusion in durban central Field street. I was told that I cannot exchange it because 7 days of exchange was over and I could see the very same jean in bigger sizes. They completey ignored my rights as a customer and failed to comply with the national consumer protection act. They ignored the fact thatthe jeans were still in a brand new position, all the tags were still on, and I still had a slip. I still don't know what to do with these jeans even now and they were expensive
