Around 2 weeks ago, my Samsung Dishwasher packed up, and Samsung arranged that same be replaced at the store at which the machine was purchased. I spoke to a manager at the store in the appliances department (Noel), who indicated that Makro currently did not have stock due to Samsung, but that he would attempt to get stock ASAP which I was prepared to accept as long as Makro fulfilled their obligation to replace.

He promised that he would follow up with me on a plan going forward, which he did not. I then called him later in the week, and he indicated that he would try and place an interim order for stock and would let me know if this was successful. I was once again not contacted.

On 2 Feb, I once again tried contacting Makro. Noel was not available, but a certain Anthony was who was extremely sarcastic and unwilling to assist or to commit to any dates. I was told that I should be happy that "I will be getting a new machine because I had a year's use already of the broken one". I eventually asked for my cash back, drove over to Hirsch's just down the road and bought the exact same model at cheaper than what Makro was selling theirs, which was delivered on 3 Feb.
