Unsatisfactory Result re: Badly Sewn Adidas Shoes

I am very unhappy with the handling of my complaint
My husband bought me 2 sets of sneekers, Puma and Adidas. After a month and happy with the shoes I got rid of the boxes, only to find a few weeks later my Adidas shoes sewing had come loose, these are not cheap shoes and as it is less than 90 days old I dont expect this to be acceptable. I returned to Edgars Active in MosselBay, only to be told they cant accept the shoes as I dont have the box. So I have to keep the shoes and be happy with that result.
My husband was in JHB yesterday and bought himself a new pair, I have since told him to return them to the shop as we will not support a business who can not assist me with the broken shoes, this will be the last transaction I make at Edgars and will ensure my friends and family do the same, no customer service no custom from me. Money is tight for everyone and we expect a good quality product with come back if it is found faulty. As the item is not electronic I do not see why we need to keep a shoe box which only takes up lots of limited space. They have a slip to prove purchase, the should be refunded or exchanged.
