Eturned unused electrical coil still in box

I ran into midas in strand just in time before they closed on 24 Dec 2013 to buy an electrical coil that I wanted to fit to my car as the next two days would be a holiday. Once starting to work on my car I realized that the job would be too difficult for me and I also had a suspicion that it was not the coil as I was doing research on the net. I decided that the best thing would be to call an auto electrician who then diagnosed the problem as a faulty computer box. The 10th of Jan was my next available chance to go back and exchange it. The salesman told me as it's an electrical part it cant be exchanged. I pointed out to him that it was unused and in the box and that I want to exchange it for some other items that I really need. He then had the nerve to tell me that he can see that I used it and proceeded to point out the marks on the coil where he said that he could see I fitted it. I then asked to see the manager who sang the same song and also accused me of using it! All this in front of other customers. I left feeling humiliated. Just a week before this I bought a full service kit which cost me R730 and also many other parts that I also buy from Midas. NO MORE.
