Inside of tub discolors permanently

This is the second complaint about this machine. (Samsung twin tub) First the drain knob broke. We recently bought new clothes (jeans). The inside of the tub is now permanently discolored. To such an extent that not even detergent can get it out. Which only shows poor quality manufacturing. Another problem is that the tub does not hold water anymore. When leaving certain articles for more than an hour, the water just sinks away in the reserve tank. This machine is not even a year old and cost quite a bit.
