I purchased two garden chairs & an umbrella from the Rondebult House & Home on 22 Dec 2013. My husband thought it would be better to purchase on an account rather than utilise our cash therefore we applied for an account of - R14000.00. I was informed I would need to supply a copy of my IDas well as past 3 months banks statements which were sent in.BY the 27 Dec I had not heard when my goods would be delivered & when I contacted Tillie Murray I was informed I needed to prove I had Life Insurance Policies - I sent through copies of my various policies to make sure they were happy with the more than R10m cover I have. Today the 30th Dec, after SEVERAL calls to Tillie I am informed these policies need to be ceded to Hyperama or I must take out a separate policy with them to cover the acc. I have accounts with SEVERAL suppliers from Credit Cards to Clothing Acc & Vehicle HP and NEVER EVER have I had to supply any of these people with LIFE policies..NOT only is this service PATHETIC but to be told nine days AFTER purchasing the goods that I now need to give this info is DISGUSTING!!! WHY was I not informed about this at the time of the sale? They can SHOVE their chairs & Umbrella!!!
