Stained clothes

I bought a green dress and noticed that it had a stain on it. I didn't want to makea big deal out of it so I decided to wash it off. The colour of the dress started coming out and by the time the dress was dry it shrank so much and the dress faded to 3 shades lighter. The stain never came off either. What a waste of time and money.
