ID Required AFTER purchase made

I registered with [URL Removed] and purchased and PAID FOR by secure server a Fujifilm camera. After payment was authorised they contacted me to ask me to send ID - this is probably in breach of the agreement with the card provider but in any case is NOT for my protection as they claim but for theirs - it simply puts me at risk for ID . This I will not do as their price is not that much better than a number of other providers who do not have the ID requirement - this should be asked for up front so that I have the choice to go elsewhere BEFORE making the purchase and do not have to now wait for a payment reversal - call centre once again stated this is for my protection (not true) and refused to waive the requirement
They have lost me as future customer.
