Sold a used mobile phone

Shops, Products, Services

My husband and I went to buy a Samsung Galaxy Star at the pep stores in Balfour Park mall to day, 22/12/2013. We were told that there are none in stock. We requested if they can check in other branches and the response was that other branches don't have it on stock about four ladies (staff) were involved in the conversation. We then asked why they are advertising something allover the store if they dont have it on stock. Then suddenly we were told that the phones needs a vodacom micro-sim card and they are out of stock. We were wondering how this can be as at list there should be stock to cover the phones available. They then took out the phone, and suddenly opened the box with out us viewing if the seal was broken or not. Their excuse was that they needed to find out if a cut normal sim will work. They then put it in and said it is working but we can't see now as there is not network. The sim will work later. We then requested details to call someone to check when the sim stock is in place. We left out details as well. Then we left to church. Guess what to our surprise there were contacts saved on the phone and text messages reflecting that the phone was in use since the 16th dec.
