Sunglass Hut does not honour any of its warranties

I was sold the display pair of Ray Bans. Soon afterwards, I noticed a warp in the frame which appeared to be manufactured that way, and the lens was loose. Since this was a display pair - several people could have damaged it - and due to the defect in the frame, I took the glasses back to the Pavilion branch within 12 months to qualify for the Manufacturers Warranty. Brenda Moodley, the manager, contacted Jeanine Retief at Head Office. Jeanine, without having seen the glasses, said that they qualified for a BPG and not the warranty. How could she have formed this opinion without having physically examined the glasses? The glasses were sent in to the technical team who asserted that the lens was not loose, in spite of the fact that the lens was confirmed as loose by 3 employees. I have taken nothing short of excellent care of my glasses yet the team is intent on accusing me of damaging the glasses. I am a student who saved up for these glasses and am expected to pay an additional 50% for something I did not break. Kevin Tuffin then took on the case and has been nothing but rude and cutthroat. Sunglass Hut is corrupt and ruthless in its dealings! Think twice before supporting them.
