I logged a call with Makro woodmead on 4 December regarding a a defy chest freezer which had stopped working 4 months after purchasing it (ref 11859)
I was told that the turnaround time for this incident is 48 hours. I checked the following day with Morapedi and was told that the issue had not been logged as yet due to a communication issue.
On 5 Dec the call was logged and a technician came on site and mentioned that the error was caused by a manufacturing defect. Makro advised that under such situations they would give me a new freezer.
Days passed and I called Makro and had to speak to Ludwe who said that Morapedi was busy. He advised that he needs to chase defy up to check the status of the call. More days passed and I called back to speak to another lady. She advised that she too did not know the status and had to call defy to follow up.

Two weeks has now passed. I was at the store on 1612. I had to speak to Bongani who advised that he would call defy first thing in the morning and then call me back immediately with an update. i am still waiting for his call.
The level of interest, follow through and professionalism shown by the staff is appalling and deeply concerning
