Slow to deliver FNB smart device

I received an SMS today from Digital Planet stating that they have received my smart device from FNB. After following the link to supposedly speed up my delivery, and enetring my details I got a delivery date for 27 Decmeber only. For a courier service for which I will be paying for I think that a delivery time of more than one week is unacceptable and not up to international standards. On top of that, before I placed my order, FNB clearly stated on their website that you should place orders before 16 December to receive the device before 24 December, My order was placed on 10 December already. I fully understand that you have a high volume of orders and deliveries at this time of the year, but you as a courier company should have anticipated this and made provisions accordingly. If I had known it would have taken this long I would have rather purchased the device or taken out a contract myself from a retailer.
