Pricing Issue

Yesterday, I purchased a Maltese puppy from Pet Masters Boksburg. When inquiring about the pup, I was told the price of the pup is R2 000 by one of the assistants. I wasn't going to buy the puppy then as I felt it was too much for me. Then he checked the price with someone else and I was told the puppy is R1 200. This securing my decision to buy the puppy. I had my daughter with me who was very happy that we will be buying the pup. At this point, someone else started assisting us. He took the puppy out of the cage for us, assisted us in getting all the other goods we need like a bed and food, only then he checked the price of the puppy again, telling me that the puppy is actually R2 000. My 7-year old child have by now been told that she is getting this puppy and was very excited about it, I was not about to take this away from her BUT I should've in fact made a scene right there and then and demanded to get the puppy at R1 200. I think it's a disgrace and I do feel tricked. Moving forward, I will tell everyone about the bad experience I've had and how I've been done in by this pet shop. Unless I can get some kind of credit or refund.
