Handed over YEARS after payment made in full

I had an account with Leisurebooks at least 10 years ago or so which I paid in full, so imagine my surprise when I received an SMS from Creditworx this morning stating that my Leisurebooks account had been handed over to them for collection.

I cancelled my account with Leisurebooks in the first place because their service was so bad and now this.

I am so tired of these companies hiring monkeys in their accounts departments and then we the public having to prove YEARS after the fact that we have paid an account in full.

Disgusting...
