RUST in Microwave

I bought a Defy microwave about 2 1/2 years ago. Before this one I had a microwave for more than 10 years. Now there is rust under the glass plate - we do not use any chemicals to clean the microwave only a damp cloth. A microwave is not supposed to rust! My mom had the same microwave with the same problem. Defy replaced her.
