UNWANTED TOP UP CONTRACT

I received a SMS informing me of top-up airtime of R50 and 25 SMS. I am now on a contract for 6 months and I cannot get out of it according to them my bis service was deactivated and with this contract I cannot get BIS. I approached MTN who sent me to Nashua Mobile who then also referred me to a callcentre number which I later on discovered to be EDCON/Jet stores, I spoke to them on Friday 29 November 2013 and was told I would have to wait 48 hours, apparently they contacted me on my work number and that is where they left it they never tried to contact me on my cell number I phoned them on Monday 2 December 2013 and was told I would have to wait another 48 hours. Today when I contact them they said they phoned me back on the same day and that I did not answer my phone - RUBBISH, the service is pathetic and I LOST IT because they said my number cannot be changed back to prepaid, I mean I do not want this contract that I'm being forced to take, I WANT MY NUMBER BACK TO PREPAID NUMBER BACK. I also contacted them within the cooling off period as described in the Consumer Protection Act.
