Exploding custard

I live in fort Beaufort which is 2 and half hours from Port Elizabeth and 2 hours from East London. As you can imagine getting there is not just popping up the road. I bought a bottle of custard which had the following information on it. Best before date11 March 2014, then a code C (B3521). My husband shook the custard before opening the bottle and when he did it exploded! We have an open plan kitchen dining area and the custard shot right across the room onto my silk curtains (we do not have a dry cleaner in Fort Beaufort either I might add). There was not an area that did not have custard splattered on it. I went on line to not only put a compliant on the system, but let them now incase more bottles where spoilt, and was informed by return email they would get back to me in 48 hours - this was on 22 November. Still nothing. I have always had good service from Woolworths and have been shopping with them for years. I only recently moved to Fort Beaufort from Johannesburg and it was my stock standard shop. However a business is only as good as its people are trained, hence me now resorting to Hello Peter.
