I took my boyfriend's ring in to get fixed at Silver Cage La Lucia Mall last week Monday (which I bought from them not 4 months ago), it had a crack in it and it did not turn anymore (which i think was bad quality to begin with). The Owner/Manager then said that it has to soldered and will cost R49 (which I later found out, the jeweler around the corner only charges R25). They will then phone me when it is fixed which should be on Thursday. I did not hear from them so I went there on Sunday and the ring was ready. The lady that helped me said that it was R59 and had an attitude. I refused to pay it after they quoted me R49 (I know its only R10, but it's the principal). She said come back Monday when the Owner will be there. I went back today. Had a fight about the price, which she then gave to me at R49. When I took the ring out the packet, the crack was gone but it still did not turn properly and was still bent. Her response: It's probably the best they could do. I am very angry at the customer service. She is willing to let me leave an unhappy customer with a broken ring. I will never be back.
