Efusal to accept goods

I went to edgars east rand mall to return a few gifts that I had received upon the birth of my child.after explaining to the clerk that I didn't have receipts for the items she told me that it was edcons policy to not accept those items (which had edgars tags on them) for a gift voucher, i had to only exchange those items.after explaining that I didn't need anything at the moment I would like a gift voucher or have that amount added to my account the clerk pointed out that it was .upon speaking to a manager she was adamant that that was edcons policy. Funny thing though is I had to return some stuff to jet and they had no problem giving me a voucher.perhaps edgars should change their slogan to 'we you'
