Faulty Fossil Watch - no response from Edgars!

I purchased a Fossil watch from the Melrose Arch branch of Edgars on Saturday afternoon, 23rd November 2013. At 9:40pm that evening the watch stopped working. (It has since stopped, and then started, working countless times.) On Sunday morning (i.e. less than a day after I bought the watch), I took it back to the Melrose Arch branch, fully expecting that as I had the purchase slip, etc I would be able to return it and for my account to be credited. To my shock and intense irritation I was informed by customer services that it could not be returned but that I would have to wait for it be sent to Fossil for repairs!!! I cannot believe that Edgars expects anyone to accept such nonsense! Edgars, a watch that stops hours after you start wearing it was faulty on purchase - I want a refund. On Monday morning I phoned the customer services line and lodged a complaint. I was told that the manager from Melrose Arch would contact me within 48 hours - I am STILL waiting. On Wednesday, I completed an on-line complaint form on the Edgars website - I am STILL waiting for a response. Edgars, if you think this is acceptable customer service I am appalled.
