Ekuzeni Iced Vanilla Square Sponge Cake

I bought this cake on the 10th of Nov, 2 days before the expiry date, it was difficult to cut and dry on the inside.
People left slices partially eaten on their plates.
I complained the next day with the Shoprite manager. The complaint was lodged Ekuzeni. Since then I was at Shoprite another 2 times and I spoke to the Ekuzeni rep as well. I wrote emails to Ekuzeni manager Cecile van Zyl as well as to the rep, Shasa, these are still not answered. The Shoprite personal was at all times very helpful and friendly. The Ekuzeni company are full of empty promises and has absolutely zero complaint handling skills. The Ekuzeni cakes have a 5 day expiry date which I believe is way too optimistic. Cecile van Zyl, have your own cake and eat it after it stood on the shelf for 5 days, your expiry dates are rubbish!!! I have only bought 2 Ekuzeni cakes ever, and both were disappointments. At R46 a cake it was money down the drain. My buying power at Shoprite is about R24k a year, multiply that by the 12 years that I have been shopping there, keeping my buying power should be incentive enough for Shoprite/Ekuzeni to sort this out.
