I applied for an account online at the Edcon group, Two days after my application a consultant called me to confirm if i applied for the this account, I confirmed. After 2weeks of my application i haven't heard anything. Today 27/11/2013 I called the Edcon head office to ask the status of my application. The lady told met there is no application reflecting on the system. I then decided to re-apply online. Only to get an online notification half way through re-applying (there is already and application done for this individual, your application has been declined) This is upsetting. My questions are: 1. Why do i have to wait over 2 weeks for an answer on a retail account application. 2. Why am i not informed if my application has already been declined. 3. Why dont i get a reason for the outcome of my application. 4. Why am i given wrong information regarding my app. Allow me to add I applied for an account at Truworths online as well, My applicaton was litterally approved within 15 minutes, i also received my Credit limit and was invited to collect my card. That's what i call outstanding service. I dont mind the fact that my app was declined. But inform me and give me a valid reason
