Hi,

Received my Acer Iconia w511 on 04-11-2013, product faulty out of the box, logged a call with Digital Planet @ 0112367805 was told to contact Platinum repairs to collect the unit, contacted them, was told that Platinum won't repair the unit I need to phone Acer directly. Then went back to Digital Planet, and the agent confirmed with Platinum and advised me to contact Acer directly @ 0861 653 653. The unit needed a complete new mainboard. I logged a call on the Monday 11-11-2013 with Digital Planet, asking if I can not rather get a replacement unit as it is within the 7 day period, the lady I spoke to was very surprised that the I was instructed to book the unit in with Acer directly. To date I do not have an answer nor do I have the fixed up unit. I have no idea what the escalation team does as the matter has been passed on to them since Monday the 11th, and same story every day I phone I get promised that someone will contact me during the day and resolve this! So escalation team "Promptly" would not be the word that stands out from your phone message when one contacts Digital Planet.! Regards Mario Steenkamp
