Return whole TV because the remote doesn't work???

My parents bought me a new Sinotec 32 inch flat screen on the 11th of July 2013. On the 13th of November 2013 the remote control stopped working all of a sudden. I finally had time to go to Makro on the 16th of November to return the remote, however, Makro requires me to bring the entire television back. My question is: does anybody at Makro care that it is wall-mounted? I am absolutely fed up with Makro. It is a simple case of replacing a faulty remote yet they insist on putting me through the ringer. I am sick of fighting with Makro over their faulty products as this is the second time I have had to return something and it has been a mission. Someone needs to sort the returns centre, at Makro Alberton, out.
