VERIMARK KEEPS MY VACUUM CLEANER FOR 2 MONTHS

I dropped off my vacuum cleaner @ Verimark Fourways on 15/09/13 and told them there seems to be something wrong with the suction. I followed up about two weeks later and was told that they will contact me as soon as they have the required parts to give me a quote. I followed up again with Innocent on 25/10/13 and he told me they still don't have the parts and will contact me once they have them. This morning I get a call from a lady in the Fourways branch to tell me my machine is irreparable, I must come and pick it up, they don't have the parts. What am I suppose to do with a vacuum cleaner that I spend R4000 on a few years back? Am I just supposed to throw it away? The guy @ the store told me that I should buy the updated version when I dropped it off; but why should I be forced to do that?
